    Had my last New Home sewing machine for 30+ yrs. My Family clubbed together and bought me this Singer sewing machine for Christmas. I'm very impressed as my first job was repairing thick denim jeans. The needle glided through beautifully unlike my old machine which always jammed on all thick material. I'm glad I read the instruction booklet as I found out it had an automatic needle thread. So it's a thumbs up for that. Yes, I would definitely recommend.

    I bought this machine to replace my old 'Brother' machine which has served me well over the last 20 years - what made me purchase this machine? I sew as a hobby but also help to create costumes for our local Scout Gang Show - my new purchase will need to be able to sew many types of fabric and withstand being taken to the theatre and rehearsal locations. I looked at some computerised machines but this Singer machine looked more the 'business' and able to provide me with everything I needed. I received my machine yesterday and have created 2 playsuits and on the way to completing a pair of 'land girls' dungarees - I am really impressed & LOVE it!

    Bought as a present for my birthday haven't used a machine in 30+ years , love that i dont have to manually thread the needle. I had no problem lifting this onto my table. Time just flies when I'm using it. Highly recommended
